Zach Matari is a Pop/R&B singer/songwriter/musician born and raised in North Jersey. Last year, Zach released his single “Up To You” which is available on iTunes and carries a 70′s and 80′s throwback feel reminiscent of the disco era. “Up To You” won best R&B song for this year’s John Lennon Song Writing Contest.
This year, Zach released his first original “DAY ONE” EP, which topped charts. DAY ONE premiered as #5 on the iTunes R&B charts and was featured on Top 100 overall on iTunes. It also charted #7 on Billboard Heatseakers charts.
Also this year, Zach headlined his own tour selling out his Connecticut, Philadelphia, and New York City shows. As a young teen, he performed at “Bamboozle” three years in a row, where he opened up for Paramore, Weezer, MGMT, Motley Crue, Bruno Mars & Bon Jovi. Zach also opened up for legendary R&B group New Edition at the Nokia Theater in LA and at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA. Over the last 4 years Zach has been touring throughout the country and has also opened for artists such as Fetty Wap, Fifth Harmony, Mario, R5 & Jacob Whitesides, garnering more and more recognition with his nostalgic style of music and dance. Performing in over 100 cities across the country, his fan base has grown to thousands of devoted and loyal fans. He has performed at many music festivals across the country including DigiFest for The DigiTour, Fan Rave, OMG Music Festival, Arthur Ashe Kids Day and many more.
Zach is an advocate for Anti-Bullying and has been on the road with the Teen Nation Tour, a peer-to-peer community service program to educate and entertain youth about bullying in a way students can relate – through music. To date, Zach has spoken and performed for over 40,000 students and hopes to continue spreading his anti-bullying message throughout the country. Zach is an active member of Musicians On Call, delivering the healing power of music to children’s hospitals around the country. Zach has been visiting patients in hospitals in the NY & LA area delivering live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment or who are unable to leave their beds.
